LOVE WIMBLEDON BID gets a YES!

The Love Wimbledon BID has received a majority YES from business voters to renew the BID for another five years.

80% of businesses voted yes for the proposals, enabling another £2.5 million of investment from businesses into the town centre over the next five years. Love Wimbledon received a 40% increase in votes since its last ballot when it was established in 2012.

BID BUSINESSES VOTED YES TO ENSURE A STRONG VOICE FOR WIMBLEDON

When Love Wimbledon first started, I was very concerned that we would not benefit in any way. However, within the first few months, we had started to realise how brilliant the BID was. Four years on, we would urge you to vote positively to keep them supporting the Wimbledon business community, as we wouldn't want to be without them.

CHALLENGES AHEAD

Over the next 5 years, Wimbledon Town Centre will face a number of challenges with council cuts, Crossrail 2 proposals and the changing face of retail. Wimbledon needs a voice and an action plan like never before. Love Wimbledon provides that voice for local businesses.

STRATEGY 2017-22

Wimbledon businesses have a voice and we can deliver the vision for Wimbledon to be popular, attractive, safe, interesting and a better place for businesses, visitors and residents.
