Our SW19

We are one of the most successful and popular inner London shopping districts and the people who work and live here are part of a vibrant community.

If you want to find top brands or enjoy delicious market food, Wimbledon offers the best of both worlds with its vibrant shopping centre, buzzing high street, restaurants from across the world, pubs and lots of culture and events to enjoy.

Taste some delicious foods from the different markets, meet a favourite author at the book festival, connect with like-minded people at the community film club, get the latest look at Elys department store and see what’s  happening under cover of Centre Court. This is about you and Wimbledon and all there is to love about it.

So whether you live or work here, or you just need a day or a night out, come and discover what Wimbledon has to offer you, your friends and your family.

Walk the Wimbledon Way

Love Wimbledon are working with the Wimbledon Way team to extend the walk through the town centre to the Polka Theatre – so watch this space for activity.

The Wimbledon Way is an Olympic legacy – a heritage walk for all that takes you from the station, through the  village to The All England Tennis Club and museum.  It is 2012 metres and you can get a map and detailed information on the route by going to the website.

Enjoy your walk and remember 2012

As you walk The Wimbledon Way, learning about our local heritage, remember how Wimbledon played an important part in the 2012 Olympics, hosting a memorable tennis event winning Team GB a gold medal. See if you can find the 2 golden post boxes on your route (one for Andy Murray and the other for Sophie Hosking) and send us a picture of you with it on Twitter or Facebook.
